The spirit itself remains the legendary "Chairman's Original" blend—a project started in 1999 by Laurie Barnard to define the St. Lucian style. It is a meticulous "assemblage" of rums from both Coffey column stills and copper pot stills. After separate maturation in ex-bourbon casks, the rums are married together and re-entered into oak barrels for a final finishing period. This unique double-aging process results in a flagship rum renowned globally for its finesse, character, and "funky" pot-still depth.
