Conceived by four friends in Venezuela in 2003, Roble Viejo began as an aging company, committed to perfecting the art of extended rum maturation without replenishment. After many years of trials with their esteemed Maestro Ronero, their efforts were profoundly validated by a Double Gold award at the Madrid International Rum Conference in 2012. The accolades have continued ever since.

Launched in Venezuela in 2013, the "Maestro" expression itself was unveiled in 2022, honouring their Maestro Ronero's remarkable 50th anniversary in the rum industry. This rum's inherent complexity ensures it never fades into the background, making it ideal for classic cocktails like a Daiquiri or El Presidente, or simply savoured on its own.
